SOCIAL MEDIA
MARKETING
Overview
To achieve success in social media marketing or any other platform, it is important to customize the content as per the target audience. I would like to share some of my work across multiple social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. It's important to note that social media marketing best practices keep evolving, and new platforms keep emerging frequently. Therefore, you may notice variations in on-screen text, time durations, or logos on my work as keeping up with social trends is crucial for success in this field.
TOP GEAR AMERICA TIKTOK SERIES
Top Gear America's season two marketing campaign was in full swing, and MotorTrend had just recently launched their TikTok account. I was tasked with bringing Top Gear America to the masses, in a new fresh way. I produced and edited this video series choosing to Incorporate fast edits, short but strong storylines, and perfectly suited music beds. The series achieved great success in terms of engagement, with the McLaren creative becoming the asset with the highest engagement for the year.

NASCAR 2020: UNDER PRESSURE SOCIAL SERIES
NASCAR was a new content bucket for MotorTrend's streaming service, MotorTrend+. The standard viewer came to MotorTrend for car builds or in the garage entertainment versus competitive racing. This meant we had legwork to do to entice potential viewers to the series. This social series highlighted the drivers featured in the series with a mix of household names and new drivers. The main strategy behind the series was to highlight the behind-the-scenes nature of the content, which was a strong crossover point for fans who were used to seeing "under the hood".

KEVIN HART'S MUSCLE CAR CREW
SOCIAL SERIES
Kevin Hart is a well-known car guy, somewhat notorious perhaps, but his adoration of cars is well-known. However, his reputation amongst car tribes was hit or miss. He doesn't work on his own cars, so promoting a show on MotorTrend, where car fans go for mechanically-minded content, was an exercise in authenticity. We had to portray Kevin and his crew as truly curious, and eager to learn about automotive culture and getting under the hood of classic builds. We also had to introduce Kevin's crew who did not have the same level of recognition as the show's namesake. We developed a series of introductory social content and videos that demonstrated the crew's devotion to learning more about automotive culture.
